Welsh Potboard Dresser Base C.1820.

19th century
Description

Early 19th.c. Welsh potboard dresser base from South Wales c.1820. Useful small proportions, being just over 5 feet wide. Oak plank top a moulded edge and plate stand over five drawers with turned knobs. Unusual shaped apron to the centre with turned bullseye roundels. On turned legs to the front and rear, joined with the original potboard shelf, and ending in a tall tapering block foot . Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
