Antique 17th Century Charles 11 Oak Coffer C1680

Description

Lovely original 17th century charles 11 country oak coffer dating from aorund the time of the restoration about 1680. It has a lovely plank top with a scalloped edge to each end above a carved frieze and three diamond carved panels typical of the period it stands on squared and reeded legs with panelled sides and original rough hewn panelled back it is peg joined with original iron hinges.

One of the panels has a grain split (please see photos) otherwise it is in good condition with a lovely colour and patination to the oak.

Measures: 25" high X 20" deep X 41" wide
