Double Sided Shop Counter with Cupboards C.1880.

19th century
Description

Unusual mid 19th.c. double sided cabinet c.1880. With two cupboard doors on one side, panelled and polished on the other, it was probably intended to function as a shop counter, with the finer non-opening side facing the public. Solid mahogany top over two separate cupboards, independently lockable, each fitted with a single shelf. Chamfered edge to the top and the plinth mouldings are also continued on each side. Good condition with some old wear to the top, cleaned and waxed in our workshops. Keys supplied.
