Description

A beautiful fiddleback mahogany Late Victorian Period Sheraton Revival breakfront bookcase. Having a rectangular top made from fiddleback mahogany with shell paterae inlays and banded in satinwood, above a marquetry inlaid frieze with ribbon, swag, harebell and circular inlaid roundels. The shaped glazed doors each enclosing three mahogany adjustable shelves, with solid mahogany ends, satinwood banding and all supported on a mahogany breakfront plinth, probably made by Maple & Co of London or James Shoolbred. English circa 1900

Dimensions: 71" wide x 45" high x 13" deep (centre shelves 9.5" deep, end shelves 8" deep)

Condition: This bookcase is in excellent original condition, cleaned and waxed
