Description

An Early 19th Century Leather and Brass Trunk, Chest.

The hinged top opening to a camphor lined interior. The top edged in brass, with a double line of studding with a double line of studding within. The centre likewise studded in the form of a re-entrant rectangle. The body with brass edging and corners, and further stud decoration, the front panel decorated with a double lined studded drape design. The ends with brass lifting carrying handles.

Date c 1800.
