Elmgarden has dated this piece to the 17th Century.
This is an old and charming rustic piece of carved oak furniture, the top section has a long cupboard enclosed by 2 doors and a centre panel, each of the carved panels has the face of a warrior or similar character, it has a carved cornice on the top with fierce masks of the Green Man at either side

The lower section has 2 drawers over a long shelved cupboard. This time the carved panels depict fleur des lys, vines and roses
This piece dates from around 1660, this is reflected in its condition, it has had the hinges replaced a long time ago, they are blacksmith made and in the correct style, the metal locks are also replacements, however the interior wooden bolts are all original

The cupboard is 64” high, 48” wide and 22” deep
