Slim case with beautiful flame mahogany veneers with inlaid stringing, fluted quarter columns, ogee mouldings and bracket feet. Charming enamelled face named for William Hunter of Dumfermlin (sic) and featuring a lovely hand painted decoration of Britannia stood with her shield and trident before a ship flying the red ensign of the Royal Navy. Further detail of golden pyramids and sea shells against a green ground. Eight day works striking the hours on a bell, functioning second hand and dummy date dial. Original weights and pendulum decorated with a scene of houses in a landscape. Excellent condition, the case has been cleaned and polished in our workshops. Works have been cleaned and overhauled and are sold with a 12 month guarantee.
