A stunning large sized original antique French table clock.
The case is decorated with acanthus leaves and acanthus roundels to the sides with goddess masks and finely fretted cushion shaped base. This is a stunning clock modelled in the round for display on a table.

The dial enamel on copper with a separate minute ring and finely fretted brass hands.
The French movement is of high quality and has the Samuel Marti mark on the movement backplate. It is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker. Pendulum is original. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a sonorous gong. Click the video clip below to hear the gong and watch the clock running!

Condition of the case is excellent, the original gilding is beautifully clean and bright with hardly any wear or discolouration and there are no losses. The dial is also in excellent condition just some faint hairlines near the number two. The clock displays beautifully as you can see below.
