Art Deco World has dated this piece to the 1930s.
Aside the appearance and super rarity of this marvellous clock on first viewing, one can't be distracted away from the condition of the clock as well, which for it's 90 odd years is nothing less than amazing. This really is an eyebrow raising clock.
The temptation to keep it is very high. The green mirrored dial has etched and highly stylised Art Deco numerals. The mirror is in exceptional condition and contrasts beautifully with the silvered coloured hands. The mirror is enveloped between a heavy copper plated frame, which appears to be solid brass underneath. All of this is rests on a Rosewood base. The movement is a French 8 day strike on a platform escapement which sounds out the hours and quarters. We currently have this clock being bench tested and will be in perfect working order on dispatch. Comes with its original key. We defy the lucky new owner not to fall instantly in love with this awesome timepiece upon arrival.
