A fabulous Japanese Meiji period bronze mixed metal onlaid vase decorated on the front & back showing a gold egret perched on a log under a fruiting branch, watching two fish swimming below him on one side, and a bird in flight amongst fruiting vines and leaves on the other. This splendid vase is beautifully executed using inlay with onlay in the manner of Miyabe Atsuyoshi.

Condition: Excellent condition commensurate with age.
