An antique silver Longines pocket watch with chain.

The watch has a stem-winding movement, Longines calibre 18.69N which is working nicely. The 18.69 movement was produced from 1895 and then the improved 18.69N was produced from 1908 onwards. The serial number on this particular movement dates the watch to 1910. There is an inner hinged dust cover.

The watch itself measures 47mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is silver and there are hallmarks inside both of the case backs for London (import mark), 1910 with an importer’s mark of AB, for Arthur Baume, UK agent for Longines. The case is in very nice condition and unusually the engine turned detail to the back of the watch is still nice and crisp.

The watch glass is in good order.

The white enamel dial is in very nice condition. The hands are initially set by way of the pin set mechanism.

The watch comes with a single silver chain which measures 27cm long including the T-bar and the clasp. It is a little later than the watch, hallmarked for 1926 with a 1924 fob.

The watch will be sent in a new presentation box.
