Description

Remarkable pair of mid 19th.c. carved oak hall or side chairs c.1860. Of Anglo-Indian inspired design, the exceptional carved and pierced backs featuring large peacock’s heads and scrolling acanthus leaf forms. Over a board seat with serpentine shaped and moulded front and sides, shaped apron and legs with a carved foot. Excellent condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
