Antique Display Cupboard or Bathroom Wash Cupboard C.1920's

1900 - 1920
Description

A very nice antique pine cupboard dating from the 1920's in excellent condition throughout. With attractive panelled double door's, opening to a single shelf cupboard. Above are two small drawers with the original brass handles and keyplates. The upstand is a lovely feature, although optional if you would just prefer the cupboard alone, with elegant curves and lines.

We think originally this would have been used to display vases/candlesticks/ornaments or used as a bathroom wash cupboard. In our opinion it would look very nice painted and placed in a bathroom, storing towels, flannels etc in the cupboard and toothbrushes/soaps etc on the upstand with a mirror on the top of the cupboard.

If the upstand were removed it would also make a useful TV cupboard.

Recently stripped to the bare wood, it is now ready for waxing or painting. Our professional wax polishing service is included in the price. Please contact us for a quote if you'd like us to paint it for you.
