Antique James 11 17th Century Restoration Country Oak Coffer C1680

Description

Lovely antique country oak coffer and dating from james 11 restoration period of around 1680-1700. It has a lovely thick plank top with deep frieze with lunette carving and original brass lock plate above three fielded carved panels and with carved frame. All the carving is original and its stands on short squared legs with panelled sides and rough hewn panelled back. It is hand and peg joined.

A lovely coffer with good colour and patination and in very good condition.

Measures: 25" hgih X 19" deep X 37" wide
