Masons Antiques has dated this piece to the 1890s.
A brass dial with black Arabic numerals, beautifully cut hands, and a cast brass bezel with bevelled glass.
It has brass carrying handles to the sides and stands on four brass splayed bracket feet.
The case is simply divine, made as it is from the finest rosewood and edged and inlaid with boxwood and a Sheraton style cartouche. Superbly polished with it's original finish.
