A 1950s Gents Wittnauer Automatic Wrist Watch

1940 - 1960
Description

A 1950s gents Wittnauer automatic wrist watch.

The watch has an automatic-winding movement which is working well. The movement is stamped Wittnauer Watch Co Inc, seventeen 17 jewels unadjusted, Swiss.

The watch measures 33.7mm diameter excluding the winding crown and 39mm high including the lugs. The signed case has a stylish look with a coin edge and is 10 ct gold filled with a stainless steel back. The case has light surface marks from use but overall it is in nice condition.

The lens is in nice condition.

The dial is signed Wittnauer Automatic with Swiss at the bottom. The two tone dial has light wear to the inner ring although it has a good vintage look.

The watch has its original hands.

A new black leather strap has been fitted.

The watch comes in a new presentation box.

Price includes worldwide postage.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
