Description

This antique French Escritoire is a stunning item & in great condition. I would date it to around the 1910-20's period. It's Kingwood all over, back & front, with many fine gilt bronze mounts, galleries, trimmings & handles. The Kingwood veneers are superb & give off wonderful patterns. There is a pull out slide which allows more writing space. The top section has canted corners, oval painted panels, two cupboards with shelves inside & two small drawers below. There's another drawer in the bottom section, which has beautifully shaped legs. This really is a fine quality item & it's of small proportions.
