EUGENE PETIT ( 1839 - 1896 ) A beautiful signed oil on canvas by Eugene Petit depicting flowers in a garden, very colourful work by this impressive impressionist French painter. The artist is renound for his rich and vibrantly coloured flower paintings.

Title: “Flowers“

Signature: Signed lower right

Medium: Oil on canvas - unlined

Size: 21 x 13 inches unframed / 24 x 16 framed

Condition: Very good for age, a few spots of restoration

Eugène Petit was a pupil of Müller and Dieterle. He first exhibited at the Paris Salon in 1863 and was awarded a bronze medal in 1873.
