Description

A wonderful Victorian letter rack with a solid English Oak base signed on the underside W T & S over a stylised sun for the well renowned manufacturer, William Tonks and Sons of Birmingham Ltd.

The cast brass panels to front and back are in the scarcely found "Indian Tree" design. The central divider is made from a fine brass mesh.

Dating to around 1880, it remains in excellent condition. 8 1/4" x 4 1/2" x 6" tall to top of handle.
