Pair of Antique Swedish Satin Birch Armchairs

1900 - 1920
Description

Robust & comfortable pair of antique Swedish newly upholstered armchairs with carved satin birch frames. They are in great condition, having just been completely re-upholstered in a stain resistant neutral fabric & the cushions have been generously filled with new feather fillings. The frames are wonderfully carved on the scroll over arms, down the sides & culminate in ball & claw feet. They are a strong looking pair of armchairs & the comfort is enhanced because there are feather cushions on the backs as well as the seats. I would date these armchairs to around the 1910-20's period.
