German artist August Vischer 1821 - 1898. His works have been sold through varies of auctions with price ranging 1500 - a few thousand euros. This painting is substantial and is of very high quality, both the canvas and its original ornate gilt frame, signed by the artist in the left lower corner. Has very recently been professionally cleaned. An old repair patch can be seen at the back but pretty much impossible to spot from the front.

A fox hunting scene with great details. Age related cracks throughout, which is of course very commonly seen in antique oil paintings. It has been treated professionally stabilised so its present condition will be retained for years to come.
