There are two astral-glazed doors which open up to reveal two bookcase sections both with adjustable shelves on sharks teeth supports. I must apologize, because we forgot to put the shelves in when photographing it as we were probably in a rush at the time. The bottom section gives off the impression that it's two banks of drawers. One side is a bank of four drawers, while on the other side are dummy drawers, which is in fact a cupboard with one shelf in the middle. The handles are original, although there were three missing, so I had them hand made to match, which cost me a fortune. The drawers are finely dovetailed & have the original locks & the locks on the cupboards have been replaced so that they work properly. This bookcase comes apart into two sections, top & bottom. It's a very fine piece of furniture & I would date it to around the 1790-1810 period.
