Impressively large Edwardian era portrait of a lady by the English portrait painter John William Schofield (1865-1944). Three quarter length seated portrait of a finely dressed lady in a white chiffon gown with blue drape across her shoulders and pink roses on her hip. Obviously a lady of means, she wears a large diamond brooch, heavy gold bracelet and a fine collections of rings on her fingers. Clearly signed and dated 1907 to the lower right edge. In excellent condition, presented in the original oval slip frame with impressed detail, behind glass and in the original gilt frame.
