The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1920s.
The watch has a high grade stem-winding movement with micro regulator which is working well. The movement is stamped VWC (Vertex Watch Company) 17 jewels Swiss made. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch itself measures 50.4mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold plated and is the Star model made by the Dennison Watch Case Company. This case has black Roman numerals to the front cover. The case has minor surface marking from use but overall it is in nice condition.

The winding crown pushes in to open the front cover. The inner lens is glass and is in nice condition. The white enamel dial is signed with the retailers name Hendersons and in nice condition.
The watch has blued steel hands designed so that the time can be read when the front cover is closed … with conventional hands, it would be impossible to tell which hand was which through the small lens.
The watch comes in a new presentation box.
