Very grand pair of antique Swedish walnut upholstered armchairs is excellent condition with stunning carvings. These armchairs date from around the 1890's or possibly before then. They are beautifully carved all over & have loads of character. Please enlarge all the images to appreciate the quality & details in the carvings. I've actually just noticed that there is a slight difference between the bottom carvings below the seats. Maybe they were made like that or one of them was damaged a long time ago & they just evened it off. If it bothers you, I could have some carving added to match up or remove the other one to match. Both look good though & personally, I would leave as is. They have been completely re-upholstered in a fairly neutral fabric & all the cushions have been generously re-filled with new feather innards. These chairs also have an interesting gadrooned

carving all around the back edge & the back cushions have been shaped to show this off.
