Georgian Mahogany Secretaire Chest of Drawers C.1805.

Description

Elegant little Georgian Sheraton style mahogany caddy top secretaire chest of drawers c.1805. Open the top drawer to reveal a fitted bureau interior of small drawers and pigeon holes, the drawer front folding to make a writing surface. With three oak lined drawers below. Inlaid and cross banded top and front with satinwood stringing. Original tall bracket feet, also crossbanded to the front and sides. Some earlier repairs to the veneers otherwise excellent condition. The gilded brass ring handles are believed to be original. Cleaned and polished in our workshops.
