Description

Beautiful George III mahogany serpentine fronted chest of drawers c.1800. Flame mahogany veneered top on solid oak groundwork over four long drawers of graduated depth. Shaped drawer fronts with symmetrically arranged veneers. The handles are later replacements in the correct style but the unusually shaped escutcheons appear to be original. Cedar drawer linings are another unusual feature. Flame veneered sides and shaped bracket feet to the front. Excellent colour and condition, cleaned and polished in our workshops.
