Crisply-cast ormolu bronze mounted clock set in the C18th Louis XVI style .
The clock fitted with an 8-day striking movement with pendulum, chiming on a bell , the enamel dial with finely-painted blue Roman numerals and minute chapter ring ,elaborate pierced and gilded hands and set behind an opening domed/convex glass door . Fitted opening glass door to rear, the movement signed "Mognetti". Strikes on the hour and half-hour .

The clock surmounted by an ormolu mounted urn , whilst the body is decorated with swags, rams head , ribbon and floral decorations. The clock raised on detailed ormolu compressed bun feet.
The 3-branch candelabra side-pieces of cassolette form with fine ormolu mounted detail . The bodies raised on stiff-leaf wrapped tripod supports with cloven feet, leaf and acorn motif decoration , the central finial modelled as a basket of floral decorated fruit with a pineapple centre. The marble bodies with a band of cast 'Vitruvian scroll' hand-chased ormolu . The 3-branch candle-arms each with detailed cast candle knozzles and removable bobeches . Both raised on cast ormolu feet of compressed form .

Highly decorative clock set in excellent condition and working order. Brightly gilded ormolu bronze contrasting beautifully against the well-selected blue-grey marble.
