Regency Slide Top Davenport

Description

A superb Regency mahogany davenport. The top slides forward and the cross-banded hand dyed black hide fall lifts to reveal a wonderful birds eye maple interior consisting of 2 drawers, pigeon hole and 3 dummy drawers, all with original turned ivory pulls, the right hand side contains a pen and ink drawer which is hinged when fully extended. There are 5 graduated drawers all with turned mahogany pulls and corresponding dummy drawers to the left. The front and back have well matched figured mahogany panels. The whole standing on plinth base with turned feet below and sunken brass castors. With key.
