In A Nutshell Antiques and Interiors has dated this piece to the 1900s.
The base has retained its original painted finish with lots of wear and a beautiful patina. The top of the counter is two plank and made of pine. It has been scraped and worked back to a smooth stripped finish but still retaining lots of signs of age and wear.

The whole counter has been sympathetically restored to retain it's natural age and patina and is in excellent condition, ready for use. It has been cleaned and given a waxed finish with a light shine. The drawers all run well and are generally clean and tidy. There are some historic woodworm holes but all have been treated and it is not detrimental to the piece. The floor has been strengthened and parts of the kickboard replaced. Overall making for a superb piece of furniture, suitable for a home or retail setting.
