A wonderful antique walnut shaped chest on chest of excellent quality.

Dating to circa 1900 this exceptionally good quality walnut chest on chest has a very intricate shaped front and is of extremely good proportions standing on turned bun feet. The moulded cornice over a top section of four shaped and graduated drawers with hand cut dovetails and herringbone banded edges.

Each drawer retaining their original solid brass drop handles and escutcheons plates with metal locks. The removable top section sits on a shaped moulding over a further three slightly wider graduated drawers.

Raised on the original turned bun feet this chest on chest is of outstanding quality having a beautiful warm honey colour having been finely restored and polished using traditional methods.

VIEWINGS

We have a reputation for being long established antique dealers in London having had showrooms concurrently running in Islington, Chelsea and Ascot. We have relocated our new showroom, due to London overheads, easily reached between A1 or A10 to just outside of Hertford, Hertfordshire.
