Description

Stunning large silver dressing table mirror by William Comyns in a beautiful romantic heart shape. The frame is embossed with foliage and scrolls with cherubs playing instruments and birds interspersed around. There is a vacant cartouche at the top. The glass is bevelled in a heart shape. Set on the original purple velvet background with easel back. Hallmarked for London 1904.

It measures 40cm by 30cm. Condition is very good with no damage I can see to the silver bar a tiny loss to the end of a scroll right at the bottom and light surface wear for age and use. A few light marks to the glass and the velvet is faded and worn from age.
