Christian Davies Antiques Ltd has dated this piece to the Victorian era.
The two rectangular glazed doors in purple heart and sycamore with fine ormolu moulding and escutcheons, opening to reveal a newly lined silk shelved interior and flanked by ormolu mounted fluted columns. Having bowed ends with ormolu mounted shelves and mirrored backs, supported on a sycamore and kingwood veneered plinth. Almost certainly made by Gillows & Co of Lancaster or Holland & Son of London. English circa 1860-1870

Condition: This credenza has been fully restored, the ormolu has been re-gilded. Relined in a quality silk
