Description

Stunning large art deco silver tray in an unusual octagonal shape. Set on 4 simple animal paw feet with stepped detail to the terminals. The tray is plain save a reeded band around the edge. Hallmarked for London 1940 and maker's mark for the fine makers The Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co.

It measures 9 7/8"/25cm wide across the square and 1 1/4" high. It weighs 698g/22.4ozt. Condition is very good with no damage or dents and light surface wear appropriate for age and use.
