Victorian Silver & Mother of Pearl Bookmark 1891

A Late Victorian SOLID SILVER BOOKMARK made in a novelty sword shape which has a slot in it so that the sword can be slipped over a page in a book, marking it for you. The bookmark has a sterling silver handle that has been wonderfully engraved and decorated by hand mounted on a piece of Mother of Pearl. The bookmark has NOT been engraved with a previous owners initials or family monogram and the sword blade has been impressed with a full set of English solid sterling silver hallmarks.

This Superb Victorian Book or Page Marker would make a superb addition to any collection or a gift that can still be used today.
