In this case this design was registered on 20th October 1883.

The caddy stands on four original bun feet and is beautifully decorated with a fluted bottom and crowned with a complimentary fluted design and in turn topped with a beautifully carved finial. The repousse decoration incorporates a vacant cartouche to the front.

The hinged lid opens to reveal a lavishly gilded interior. Fully hallmarked for London 1893, the caddy is a true Victorian example. The makers mark is also present for Horace Woodward & Co Ltd. This would have been one of the last pieces made by this silversmith's as in 1893 it was acquired by the well renowned Adie Brothers Ltd.
Excellent condition measuring 3 1/2" x 2 1/2" x 4" tall. 141.1 Grams / 4.54 Troy Ounces.
