19th Century French directoire style mahogany writing table, the rectangular shaped top having a brown leather writing surface decorated with gold and blind tooling, the top concealing two additional slides on the return sides both with brown leather writing surfaces, decorated with lovely quality ormolu mounts on the front, sides and the back of the desk, with three mahogany lined drawers at the front and three faux drawers at the back, the right hand drawer at the front having a lift out tray to reveal a secret compartment, standing on four turned fluted legs with brass incerts terminating on turned brass feet. Circa 1880.
