~~ Excellent condition, fully overhauled ~~
It is classical in style with two reeded acanthus torché columns and a well modelled bronze lion standing proudly to the top. Four glazed panels allow the mercury compensated pendulum to be seen gently swinging within.

The fine specimen marble is beautifully variegated with oranges, pinks and purples. The pretty dial is porcelain enamel on copper with floral swags between the hours and beautifully fretted gilt brass hands.

The French movement is by Japy Freres and is of the company's usual superb quality. It is in excellent clean and running condition having been fully overhauled by our clockmaker and thoroughly tested. The original pendulum is temperature compensated using two glass vials of mercury. It runs for 8 days and strikes the hours and halves on a bell. Click the video clip below to hear the bell and watch the clock running!

Condition of the case is excellent, the original gilding is beautifully clean and bright. The marble has a lovely polish, just a couple of nibbles, the largest to the front left hand side of the top which is not noticeable. The beveled glass is in excellent condition. The dial is also in excellent condition with no damage. A stunning clock to add to your collection.

Complete with original pendulum, bell and a suitable key. Full setting up instructions supplied if required.
