Rue des Fontenelles has dated this piece to the 1930s.
He received a gold medal at the International Exhibition of 1937. He continued to exhibit at the Salon des Independents, Tuleries and the Salon des Artistes Francais for many years. He is know for he strong technique and the vivacity of his palette an tones. He also decorated two ceilings at the Opera in Marseille in 1927. Carrera is known for his nudes, landscapes and views of ports. He died in Paris in 1952, listed Benizit and has works in Museums in Marseille and Toulouse.
