M Lees and Sons has dated this George IV Reclining Armchair to the 19th Century.
Smart mahogany gentlemans rcling mahogany armchair in the manner of Robert Daws .
. The arms with well-carved detail and scroll terminals with leaf-wrapped detail .

The adjustable rake back and stool/foot-rest adjusted with a sprung button release fitted into the side of the frame .The back supported by a turned lateral bar with fine detail. The shaped back legs fitted with original brass castors.

The frame in excellent condition and of rich patina and colour . In need of recovering , presented here in partially stripped state . A price for recovering in fabric of client's choice and selection can be quoted.

Robert Daws patented his "Improved Recumbent chair" in 1827 and traded from 17, Margaret St .Cavendish Sq. London.
Though not labelled this chair is undoubtedly to his design and build quality.
