Description

Remarkable early 20th.c. arts and crafts style dresser c.1920. Probably intended for the kitchen and affording ample storage, display and work space. With a three door glazed cabinet over a bevelled mirror back and deep two door cupboard with two drawers and a large pull-out work surface. Flanked on each side with two full height pantry cupboards with two doors to each. Fitted with adjustable shelves throughout. Of striking transitional design combining arts and crafts and art deco elements. In solid oak with exceptional and original brass strap hinges, handles, escutcheon plates and kick boards at floor level. Unusual shaped tops to the side cupboards, carved with a design of fruit which is repeated on the centre and side doors together with a fluted detail. Original bevelled glass doors and bevelled mirror plate. Excellent condition, cleaned and waxed in our workshops.
