An Antique Ww1 Period Zenith Pocket Watch

1900 - 1920
Description

An antique WW1 period Zenith pocket watch.

The watch has a hand-winding movement, with an unusual regulator, which is working nicely. The movement is signed with the Zenith name and it has the serial number 2295427 which dates it back to 1918. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 50.5mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is 10ct gold filled and is the Moon model made by the English based watch case maker Aaron Dennison. The case is in nice condition with only light surface marks from use.

The plastic glass is in good condition.

The white enamel dial has a few faint hairline cracks although hardly noticeable to the naked eye but otherwise it is in nice condition.

The watch has its original blued steel hands.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
