Description

1920s Thomas Russell & Son full hunter pocket watch.

The watch has a Swiss stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement would have been imported from Switzerland to be finished, cased and subsequently retailed by Thomas Russell. The Swiss 15 jewel movement is signed Thomas Russell & son Liverpool. The movement is protected by an inner hinged cover.

The watch measures 50 mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The watch case is gold plated and was made by the Illinois Watch Case Company and signed Thomas Russell & son. The case has light surface marks from use but overall it is in nice condition.

The winding crown pushes down to release the front cover. Inside there is a glass lens which is in good condition. The white enamel dial has a lovely appearance with the Thomas Russell & Son name and logo. It is in good condition and has blued steel hands, a subsidiary seconds dial and an outer minute track.

We are an on-line only business and do not have facilities for callers. Our offices are open from Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm.

With regards to appraisals / valuations, we receive a huge number of information requests each day and unfortunately do not have the manpower to deal with them all individually. Our advice would be to contact a local auctioneer for a full appraisal.
