Hobson May Collection has dated this piece to the Georgian era.
The table has mellow mahogany cross banding and superb inlaid swags and floral sprays in olive wood and harewood. The design of the swags is reflected in the unusual brass drawer handles. The table is in good, sound condition. There are some very minor historic repairs to the inlay, these are not easily visible. There is also marks and blemishes to the original green leather top, but these are compatible to age and the colour and patina of the leather top is really beautiful and a real feature of the table. There are two working drawers and two dummies, the table is decorated to every side, allowing it to be used as a centre table, or placed free standing within a room. A wonderful decorative piece, perfect to add style to any interior.
