The Vintage Wrist Watch Company has dated this piece to the 1920s.
The watch has a Swiss stem-winding movement which is working nicely. The movement is stamped Record Watch Co, 7 jewels, 2 adjustments, Swiss made.

The watch measures 50.6mm diameter excluding the winding stem and the loop. The case is gold plated and was made by the Illinous Watch Case Co, Elgin U.S.A. The case has light surface marks from use and a small "ding" to the back but overall it is in nice condition for a 1920s piece.

The front cover has blue enamel Roman numerals around a small glass lens. The winding crown pushes down to open the front cover. It reveals a white enamel dial with a glass lens which is in good condition. The dial is in nice condition. Blued steel hands designed so that the time can be read when the front cover is closed … with conventional hands, it would be impossible to tell which hand was which through the small lens.
