Description

Splendid large late 19th.c. oak pedestal desk c.1870. Five foot wide top with three red leather skivers, a central writing slope flanked with with stationery drawers, and two drawers below. Lift the slope to reveal a lockable well for documents (or the laptop) with a fitted interior of drawers and pigeon holes. On twin pedestals each with three drawers of graduated depth, raised on castors, with a large kneehole between. Well figured oak veneers (continued on the reverse), turned oak knobs and hardwood drawer linings. Stamped inside for cabinet makers Jewell of New Oxford St London. Excellent colour and condition. Cleaned and polished in our workshops. Key supplied.
