Description

A rare find, something I have never come across before. This wonderful travel inkwell is in the form of a marine lantern or lamp with clear, green and red mirrored glass.

The lid opens to reveal the inkwell, opened with the little catch to the right-hand side, the top springs open. The inside looks untouched, as clean as the day it was made over 120 years ago, retaining the original glass ink chamber.

Victorian in era, this novelty star is in excellent condition, measuring 2 1/4" x 2 1/4" x 3 3/4" tall or 5 1/4" tall to top of swing handle.
