Description

A 19th Century Tole Fruit or Bread Basket.

The rectangular body with outward curved sides, rising to either end. The rim with a rounded folded edge, and likewise the foot rim. The rims decorated in gilt lines, enclosing the decoration to the exterior and interior, in the form of vibrant flowers and leaves in reds and gilt.

Date c 1830.
