Description

Antique French mahogany writing table with an interestingly shaped top section that runs all the way around it. It has a pierced gilt metal top gallery, & gilt metal mounts handles & feet. This desk has many nice features, including reeded corners, a pull out writing surface & elegantly turned reeded legs. The two drawers are cross banded & the curved back has a panel going all the way around, which has an interesting cross banding of some other wood. This piece is in excellent condition & I would date it to around the 1920-30's period.
