Description

A Pair of 19th Century Mahogany Candle Stands.

Each with a circular top with raised mould rim, resting on a ring socle, and stem, which rises and falls with a thumb screw fixing. The columns of rounded, ring , and tapered shaping, resting on circular bases, with ogee and ring shaping. The undersides of the bases with bands of lead loading.

Date c 1830.

Height 13 1/2 inches, when down or closed, diameter 6 inches.
